Our capacity building programme is aimed at eqipping tourism enterprises develop skills and abilities to achieve goals, manage challenges, and contribute to growth.
Development priority areas are as follows:

The programme is aimed at the development of a sustainable tourism industry in the region. The focus is to remove barriers to tourism growth and development through collective participation.
The are three tourism clusters in the region each loacted in one of the three municipalities: Mogale City, Rand West City, Merafong City.

Our events and campaigns are in partnership with the private sector and aim to stimulate domestic growth by boosting the region via media exposure and attracting future visitors, providing local jobs and helping to make a case for local infrastructure improvements. Annual and quaterly events play a part in creating platform for brand recognition, networking and commerce, theses include the following:

MORAME Regional Tourism Organisation is the West Rand’s official destination development and management organisation endorsed by the West Rand District Municipality. The Cradle of Humankind is the tourism jewel of Gauteng.
